It has been an amazing day talking to an intellect.
The word intellect brings to it new meaning. Ones thought process is simply amazing.
Human - Being
We are all split in two. An energy which drives us and a body. The words human being is self explanatory which shows there is a being, a soul, an existence which drives everything and the body that we possess is nothing but a vessel for this energy.
This being is an immeasurable quantity which cannot be defined. We assume this energy to reside in the central portion of our head between the pituitary and hypothalamus as a dot of light, a dot of energy.
The human body is the vessel this energy has chosen on earth. It makes you think about the possibility of rebirth and existence in general.
This being of energy, our soul, has the three aspects of mind, intellect and resolve. The mind is what keeps generating thoughts in a very random order which can be used or not. The intellect, or the conscience is what tells us if the thought is to be accepted, acted upon or just rejected. Resolve being the portion of us which acts on thoughts processed and filtered through our intellect. Many a time, these thoughts bypass our intellect and we act on these thoughts leading to brash actions.
A good example to consider this is where a driver loses control of his vehicle and the reaction to the action is something that we often end up repenting on.
Listening to Mr. Barathi helped me realise the importance and understanding our elders have had on our life. The very simple explanation for this is written down in our prayers which we have failed to understand. "protect me in my thoughts and in my words" which shows a dearth of intellect and prayer for want of more. The phrase "I need to reorganise my thoughts". Wisdom definitely comes with age and the ability and drive to ponder on ones thoughts and derive suitable resolve helping us to act rather than react. Our way of life needs to be defined by us rather than having the necessity to appease and live according to the demands of our surroundings. To rather than expend our energy on non perfect or ill fitting ventures and actions, to seek and perform those best suited to us.
I summarise todays discourse in these words "the capability to act rather than react"
